Not all games were scored, in fact most weren't. After a bit of warm up, and just shooting around really, we were ready for Round 1. A simple trap shooting round, each took turns shooting 5 times each, till we had shot 25 times. Here are the results:
Round 1 | |||||
Mike | Drew | Jeff | Scott | Anthony
Total | 16 | 8 | 25 | 18 | 23 |
Perfect | 1 | 0 | 5 | 1 | 4 |
As you can see Jeff and Anthony cleaned shop. I should mention that what we call a perfect is 5/5 in a turn. The next round we introduced an idea my brother came up with last time we were shooting. A second shooter. If the first person misses then the second gets a chance at the clay and it is worth 2 points if hit. The second shooter would rotate so that everyone got a chance to "clean up" after everyone else.
Round 2 | |||||
Mike | Drew | Jeff | Scott | Anthony
Hit | 22 | 11 | 25 | 15 | 19 |
Bonus | 10 | 2 | 12 | 4 | 6 |
Perfect | 3 | 0 | 5 | 0 | 1 |
Total | 32 | 13 | 37 | 19 | 25 |
This round I did a lot better, very happy with that, even before the bonus points. Once again Jeff dominated. This was a lot of fun and definitely added a neat twist to the scoring. After this Anthony and his dad left and we decided to have a "chair game" quite simply we lined up the chairs, each took a seat, and one person worked the thrower. This was an absolute blast, if you'll pardon the pun. Much laughter was had by all.
Next event was a little "GET OFF MY LAWN!!!" I've got videos of that. The semiauto shotgun didn't seem to fare to well at this event. But brother Scott was a fast as ever on his Mossburg. That brief event out of the way we moved on to some target shooting with the .22 bolt action. Here are the results:
Once again Jeff wins. I was a decent second though. I'll be working on uploading some videos later, so at the very least you'll know what get off my lawn is.
